From 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

 

Come and explore the night skies, astronomy, telescopes, robotics, weather, rocks, volcanos, chemistry, gravity and

glo-germs with the CDC!

 

Everyone will want to see the

Big Thinker’s Show:

“The Air Up There” at 6:15 and 7:00 P.M. in the cafeteria

BERKELEY LAKE SCIENCE NIGHT 2012 SCHEDULE

Big Thinkers Show The “Air Up There”:  Cafeteria  This show promises to be up-lifting with a smoke ring cannon & hovercraft.  Show times are 6:15  & 7:00

 

BLES Science Fair:  Media Center  Please stop by and see the marvelous projects done by our students. 

 

Our Wonderful Earth:  Media Center  Explore the mystery & majesty of rocks & minerals  with Bill Waggener, President Georgia Mineral Society.

 

Star Gazing:  Outside at Rear of School  Grab a telescope and gaze into the night skies with the Atlanta Astronomy Club. 

 

Astronomy:  Ms. Guyton’s Music Room  Come learn about the wonder of our galaxy with Dr. Angela Sarrazine before or after taking a look into the night sky.

 

Fox 5 Weatherman:  Ms. Burt’s Music Room   Come and talk to Steve Milone a Fox 5 weatherman & learn about weather & exciting television careers

 

The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC):  Art Room  Come  see a Glo-Germ demonstration & a real hazmat suit & learn about CDC research and science careers.

 

The Crazy Chemistry Science Lab:  Ms. Bentley’s Room  Come see what Ms. Bentley has cooked up this year!

 

Meteorology:  Ms. Shaw’s Room  Learn about weather, tornados, hurricanes & clouds with Fernbank’s Lisa Mozer.

 

Volcanos!!!:  Mr. Schoen’s Room  Come learn about the power of our earth & volcanoes with Josef Dufek of Ga. Tech School of Earth & Atmospheric Science.

 

Robotics Club:  Gym  Come checking out real “live” robots with the Gwinnett School of Math & Science’s award winning Robotic’s Club.

 

Gravity, Friction & Speed: Gym Pack 650’s Webelos 1s will be showcasing these concepts!
